With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Charlyn Dowling-Smith (Des Moines, Iowa), born in Denver, Colorado, who passed away on April 11, 2024 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Jorn Dowling-Anderson and Martha Dowling-Anderson; her stepfather Carl Anderson; and her pet Pepper. She is survived by : her husband Clyde; and her sisters, Jorenne Dowling-Dionisi and Christy Dowling (Vicki Knecht).

A funeral service was held on Thursday, April 25th 2024 at 9:00 AM at the Mount Olive Lutheran Church (5625 Franklin Ave, Des Moines, IA 50310). The military honors was held on Thursday, April 25th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Iowa Veterans Cemetery.
