He was predeceased by: his father John Conway; his grandparents, Hugh, Alice Conway, Herman and Arlene Jones; and his stepgrandfather Alvin Nemmers.

He is survived by: his mother Hattie Nemmers (Jones) of Dubuque, IA; his brothers, Justin Conway of Harpers Ferry, IA and Brad Conway (Heather) of Dubuque, IA; his nephews, Aidan and Charlie Conway; and his stepgrandmother Beverly Nemmers of Dubuque, IA. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
