With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Crecencio Vigil Sr. of Des Moines, Iowa, born in Harlingen, Texas, who passed away on April 1, 2023 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Pedro Vigil and Emelia Vigil (Garcia); and his siblings, Victor, Jimmy, Ludin, Ida and Lilly.
He is survived by: his wife Sandra Vigil of Des Moines; his siblings, Mary, Helen, Able and Pedro; and his children, Crecencio Jr., Johnny Vigil, Michael Vigil (Kasi), Pedro Vigil (Allison), Robert Nugent (Cheri), Emelia Rodriquez (Jesse), Ida Vigil, Tracy Cory and Robin Headrick (Andrew). He is also survived by 26 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks you to make donations to the American Cancer Society or Alzheimer's Association.
