With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of David Mark Stewart of Des Moines, Iowa, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 11, 2026 at the age of 76. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Frederick "Max" Stewart and Nellie May Stewart (Heggen); his brothers, Frederick and John Stewart; and his parents-in-law, Edward and Jeane Sorensen.
He is survived by: his wife Carol Stewart; his children, Michelle Ochetti (Jon) of Minneapolis, MN and Chris Stewart (Alisha); his grandchildren, Drake Wick (Jana), Brody Schlaht (McKenna Riess), Jacie Stewart, Grady Walston, Austin, Nicholas and Ryan Ochetti; and his brother Steve Stewart. He is also survived by many extended family members and friends.
