Dean Young Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Dean Young (Des Moines, Iowa), born in Evanston, Illinois, who passed away on February 24, 2024 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Helen Angela Baumgarten and John Long; his adoptive father Frederick; and his grandparents, Fred and Mabel Young.

He is survived by : his wife Cheryl; his children, Victor Young (Stacy), Melissa King and Suzanne Young (Gary); his grandchildren, Christion King, Donovan Young, Makaila King, Ashlyn King and Nathaniel King; his great grandchild Paisley King; and his half-sister Helen W. Young.

Memorial contributions can be made to the family towards the purchase of a plaque to be placed at the Iowa State Fairgrounds in the rabbit and poultry building where Dean was superintendent during the fair.
