She was predeceased by: her parents, Orin Rupe and Ada Rupe (Stamper); her husband Bernard Barnes; and her children, Joe Barnes, Katherine Bishop, Sharon Ellsworth and Walter Barnes.
She is survived by: her children, Wayne Barnes and Linda Markle. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren; 128 great-great-grandchildren.
