He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Ellis and Lydia Ellis; his son Keith; and his siblings, Johnny, Bob Dale, Harry, Ronnie, Carol, Ramona and Margie.
He is survived by: his wife Mardell Ellis; his daughters, Annette Sandquist (Rick), Deanna Eisenman (Robert), Denise Mumford (Paul) and Jeanette Plascencia (Mel); his grandchildren, Kristina, Ashley, Amy, Ricky, Jessica, Olivia, Micah, Lauren, Joy, Matthew, Noah, Emily, Brooke, Katie, Seth and Emma; and his siblings, Roy, Leila, Gary, Sharon, Edie and Donnie. He is also survived by 15 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 8th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Grace Church (4200 E 25th St, Des Moines, IA 50317). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 8th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
