He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Meek and Rita Meek (Merrigan); his brother James Meek (Sandra); and his mother-in-law Judith Simpson. He is survived by: his wife Wendi Anderson-Meek; his children, John Sparks (Trisha), Anthony Sparks (Nicole) and Mary Sparks; his grandchildren, Natalie, Nathan, Noah, Logan, Nicholas, Kaitlyn, Kloe and Macy; his sister Lisa Hegwood; and his sibling's children, Anthony Woxell, James Meek, Sue Ann Lane and Teddy Nelson. He is also survived by other loving family members and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 19th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Hamilton's Funeral Home (605 Lyon St, Des Moines, IA 50309).
