She was predeceased by: her parents, Elmer Luett and Carrie Luett; her husband Gerry; her brother Harold; her siblings-in-law, Helen Tennant (Luett), Maurice and Maxine Burns; her nephew Ken Burns; her friends, Dick Cory and Robert Slezak; and her pet Franny.

She is survived by: her children, Des Moines, Curt Young (Tootie) and Susan Frye (Rich); her great grandchildren, Whitney West (Loren), Loren, River and Serenity; her grandchildren, Colin Frye (Jessa), Aiden, Emmett, Eric Frye (Kourtnie), Oliver and Sullivan; her niece Nancy Murray (Bill); and her nephews, Jim Burns (Darlene), Dave Burns (Becky), Larry Burns (Kendall) and Eleda Burns.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to her church, Staves Memorial United Methodist Church, or to a charity of the donor's choice.
