He was predeceased by: his parents, Masel Barker and Darrell Barker; his brothers, William Gayle Barker and David Barker; and his niece Kimberly Fears.
He is survived by: his sister Gloria Kay Wardenburg (Bruce) of Ankeny; and his nephew Bill Barker of Huxley.
Memorial contributions may be made to his family who will donate at a later date to the Ankeny Fire Department in his name for all of their help to Garth.
