With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Gary S Fletcher of Des Moines, Iowa, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 22, 2026 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Jonathan Moss and Virginia Votruba Fletcher; and his wife Elizabeth Jayne Ruan. He is survived by: his sons, Gary, Jonathan R. (Lauren) of Des Moines and Stephen of Lake Forest, IL; his grandchildren, Elizabeth, Alexander, Linley and Lucy; and his siblings, John (Nancy), Ginny (Pete) and Katy (Charles).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the University of Iowa, the WesleyLife Foundation, or a fitting charity of one's choice.
