He is survived by: his wife Annette Haas (Strain); his daughter Julia Haas (Paul Van Weelden); his grandson Finn DeDoncker; his sisters, Kathy Chamberlain (Pat) of Rochester, MN and Pam Hiatt (Steve) of Dubuque, IA; his siblings-in-law, Jennifer Wilson, Jeff Strain, Drew Strain and Linda Sankey; his nieces and nephews, Jordan, Jessica, Jason, Jack, Rachel, Chelsea, Jocelyn, Tessa, Susan, Sarah, Abigail, Nathan and Lilian; Matt DeDoncker (Michelle).
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 10:15 AM at the Behr Funeral Home (1491 Main St, Dubuque, IA 52001). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 at 10:15 AM at the same location.
