He was predeceased by: his parents, Lyman Sheeder and Faith Sheeder (Clayton); his former wife Ella L. Dorsey; his stepson Chris; and his granddaughter Mesha.
He is survived by: his wife Monica "Mona" Sheeder (Foster); his children, Gordon Sheeder (Michelle) of Boone, IA, Michael G. Sheeder of Des Moines, IA and Rhonda Sheeder (Greg Catron) of Des Moines, IA; and his stepchildren, Earl Hill of Polk City, IA and Donna Brown (Hill) of Des Moines, IA. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
