He was predeceased by: his parents, Edith Jansen and Edward Jansen. He is survived by: his brothers, Ed and Ralph; his wife Susan; his children, Heath (Jennifer Paschen), David (Valerie) and Christine Gray (Adam); and his grandchildren, Anna, Ellen, Kendall, Addison, Anderson and Connor.
A funeral service will be held on Sunday, August 10th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Basilica of St. John's Basilica (1915 University Ave, Des Moines, IA 50314).
Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, the Colts Drum and Bugle Corp in Dubuque or to an organization that advances a young person's love of music.
