He was predeceased by : his parents, Helen Angela Baumgarten and John Long; his adoptive father Frederick; and his grandparents, Fred and Mabel Young.
He is survived by : his wife Cheryl; his children, Victor Young (Stacy), Melissa King and Suzanne Young (Gary); his grandchildren, Donovan Young, Makaila King, Ashlyn King and Nathaniel King; and his half-sister Helen W. Young.
Memorial contributions can be made to the family towards the purchase of a plaque to be placed at the Iowa State Fairgrounds in the rabbit and poultry building where Dean was superintendent during the fair.
