He is survived by: his wife Mary Jo Sergio; his children, Thomas Sergio and Elizabeth DeBord (Brandon); his stepchildren, Tony Strable (Tara) and Tiffany Smith (Andy); his children-in-law, Rick Goehry Jr. and Brooke Strable; his brother Frank Sergio; and his grandchildren, Madison (Caleb), Reilynn (Bryce), Sage (Wil), Anthony (Abbie), Blake, Cale, Zadik, Cason, Serafina, Kerrigan and Tripp.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 6th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Hamilton's Southtown Funeral Home (5400 SW 9th St, Des Moines, IA 50315). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 6th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
