It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Herman Duane Virden of Des Moines, Iowa, who passed away on April 18, 2024, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, John Virden and Mildred Virden (Gillespie); and his brothers, John Virden and Virgil Virden. He is survived by : his wife Norma Virden; his sons, Alan Virden (Jeannie) and Keith Virden (Jennifer); his grandchildren, Amanda, Nick, Tony, Savannah, Jordan and Jack; his great grandchild Peyton; and his brother Jerry Virden (Sharon).

Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 23rd 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Hamilton's Funeral Home (605 Lyon St, Des Moines, IA 50309). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 23rd 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
