He was predeceased by: his parents, Patricia Bish and James Gregory II; his sister Edie Groess; and his great grandchild Theo. He is survived by: his wife Laura Gregory; his sons, James Gregory IV, Christopher Gregory (Ashley) and Steven Gregory (Melissa); his sisters, Donna Gregory, Mary Thrasher and Cindy Toth; his grandchildren, Claire (Oscar), Amelia, Rosalyn, Elyza, James V, Tate, Lucy and Felix; and his great grandchildren, Elena and Evren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 20th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Hamilton's Funeral Home (605 Lyon St, Des Moines, IA 50309). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 21st 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Grace West Church (6820 Ashworth Rd, West Des Moines, IA 50266).
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made to Grace West Church.
