He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Jackovich and Tina Jackovich (Rice); and his granddaughter Camryn Storbeck. He is survived by: his wife Shirley McDonald; and his children, Jennifer Storbeck (Paul), Jason Jackovich (Sonja) and Jill Mick (Adam). He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; a host of extended family and dear friends.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 19th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM and at 5:00 PM at the Rosary Hamilton's Southtown Funeral Home (5400 SW 9th St, Des Moines, IA 50315). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, October 20th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Christ the King Catholic Church (5711 SW 9th St, Des Moines, IA 50315).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Northern Warren Fire Department (NWFD) or EveryStep Hospice in loving memory of Jim.
