With solemn reverence, we commemorate James K. Sater Sr. (Des Moines, Iowa), whose life came to an end on September 1, 2025 at the age of 75, leaving behind cherished memories. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
Though James may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those James touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Sater and Ruth Sater (Hackwith). He is survived by: his wife Kathy Sater; his children, James K. Sater, Jr. (Heidi), Stacey Utsler (Kenny) and Chad Sater (June); and his brother Tim Sater. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life was held on Saturday, September 20th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM at 1539 E Pioneer Rd, Des Moines, IA 50320.
