Janice Loft Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Janice Loft (Des Moines, Iowa), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 4, 2025 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Elton Knight and Maxine Knight (Wall); her husband Carl Loft; her mother-in-law Doleris Loft; and her brother Kenneth Knight.
She is survived by: her children, Steven E. Johnson (Ruth), Kevin A. Johnson (Marianne), Missy A. Johnson and Annie Johnson; her sister Barb Hefley; her grandchildren, Daniel Johnson, Andraya (Tyler), Andrew, Aaric (Julia) and Bryttany (Brad); and her great grandchildren, Quinn, Rowan, Ash, Garrick and Rory "Little Pistol".
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 10th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Hamilton's Funeral Home (605 Lyon St, Des Moines, IA 50309). A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, June 11th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Sunshine Open Bible Church (3100 Easton Blvd, Des Moines, IA 50317).
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be directed to her daughter, Diana "Annie" Johnson to be used to help with burial and headstone expenses.
