It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jason E. Merkley of Des Moines, Iowa, who passed away on May 12, 2024, at the age of 47, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

In the vast expanse of eternity, Jason shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Jason farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be directed to Celebrate Recovery, Lutheran Church of Hope, or the Animal Rescue League of Iowa in loving memory of Jason.
