With sadness, we share the passing of Jerry A. Stansberry of Des Moines, Iowa. Jerry, born on December 3, 1939 in Moulton, Iowa, passed away on September 1, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Family, friends, and acquaintances remember Jerry for his warmth, thoughtfulness, and the moments shared together. He was predeceased by: his parents, Edgar Stansberry and Dessa Stansberry (Stockwell); his sisters, Margaret and Joan; his wife Florence Nuckolls; and his grandson Trey Stansberry.
He is survived by: his children, Susan Fitzgerald (Jerry Smith), John Stansberry (Shelley) of Moulton, Iowa, Michael Stansberry (Heidi), Jody Leventhal (Randy) of Waukee, Iowa, Tom (Martina) and Onnen of Florida. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
A funeral service was held on Tuesday, September 8th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Pine Hill Cemetery Pine Hill Cemetery (508 NW 54th Ave, Des Moines, IA 50313).
