It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jim Kress of Des Moines, Iowa, who passed away on September 3, 2025, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Lloyd Kress and Dorothy Kress (James); and his grandson Jake Kress. He is survived by: his wife Vicki Jean Allen; his children, Jennifer Weber (Todd) and Jeff Kress (Brooke); his grandchildren, Kyle Weber (Dakota), Kristen Lange (Caleb), Delaney Kress, Carson Kress, Quinn Weber and Kennedy Kress; his great grandchild Webb Robert Lange; his stepgrandsons, Mason Timm, Brady Timm (Abby) and Nolan Timm; and his stepgreat-grandson Dakston Timm.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 19th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Johnson Family Funeral Home - Earlham (140 NW 2nd St, Earlham, IA 50072). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 20th 2025 at 10:00 AM and at 11:00 AM. A burial was held on Saturday, September 20th 2025 at the Booneville Cemetery.
