She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Erickson and Grace Erickson. She is survived by: her husband Jerry McQuiston; her sons, Ron McQuiston and Mike McQuiston (Sandy); her grandchildren, Logan, Dalton, Keegan, Makiya, Brooke (Jordan) and Aiden; and her siblings, Elaine Erickson, Bev Carstensen, Jill Rasmussen (Bruce), Bruce Erickson (Kathleen) and Julee Erickson.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 9th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Hamilton's Near Highland Memory Gardens (121 NW 60th Ave, Des Moines, IA 50313). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 9th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
Memorial contributions can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in loving memory of Joan.
