He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack Powell and Darlene Powell; and his wife Judy Kathleen Powell. He is survived by: his children, Jackie Powell and Jeff Powell; his grandsons, Cody Lenz, Justin Lehman (Sabrina) and Brandon Lehman (Daphne); his great grandchildren, Edwin, Braxton, Phoebe, Paislee, Xander and Ezekiel; and his siblings, Peggy Drain, Paula Collins (Hugh) and Bob Powell (Kim).
Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 2nd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Hamilton's Funeral Home (605 Lyon St, Des Moines, IA 50309). A funeral service will be held on Monday, November 3rd 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, November 3rd 2025 at the Glendale Cemetery (4909 University Ave, Des Moines, IA 50311).
