He is survived by: his wife Ramona Saacke; his children, John Jorgen Hoyem of Des Moines, Ann Hirth (Kory) of Windsor Heights, IA and Lance Hoyem of Des Moines, Four; his grandchildren, Kathryn Hirth, Amanda Hirth, Wren Hoyem and Paden Hoyem; his daughter-in-law Allison Hoyem of Des Moines; his brother Harold Hoyem (Dian); his niece Ellen Hoyem; and his nephew Eric Hoyem.
