We announce the death of Joseph Laurenzo in Des Moines, Iowa, who passed away on September 24, 2026, at the age of 87. Joseph will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Victor Laurenzo and Geraldean Bruce Laurenzo; his siblings, Tom Laurenzo and Victoria DeGette; and his grandson Dominic.
He is survived by: his wife Lindaclair Benoit; his children, Brian Laurenzo (Patty), Jill O Connell (Paul) and Eric Laurenzo (Regene); his grandchildren, Lindsay Effler, Joe O Connell, Katie Ferin, Scott Laurenzo, Claire Miller, Christopher Laurenzo and Samantha Smith; and his sister Teresa Laurenzo.
Visitation was held on Sunday, September 27th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Caldwell Parrish Funeral Home & Crematory (8201 Hickman Rd, Urbandale, IA 50322). A rosary was held on Sunday, September 27th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 5:15 PM at the same location. A Mass was held on Monday, September 28th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Boniface Catholic Church (1200 Warrior Ln, Waukee, IA 50263).
