We bid farewell to Judith K. Simpson (Des Moines, Iowa), whose journey of life gracefully concluded on September 9, 2025 at the age of 81. Judith touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Calvin Fedro and Catherine Fedro (O'Rourke); her daughter-in-law Peggy Johnson; and her siblings, John Fedro, Dianna Nardini and Mary Theresa Beltrame.
She is survived by: her husband Jerry Simpson; her children, Wendi Anderson-Meek (Eddie), Gary Anderson and Kevin Anderson (Boo); her stepdaughter Donna Simpson; her grandchildren, John Sparks (Trisha), Anthony Sparks (Nicole), Mary Sparks, Torie Hermann (Jason), Stephanie Lampkin (Josh), Jeremy Harvey (Tabatha), Anthony Harvey and Jacob Simpson (Sam); and her siblings, Joan Hagar, Alma Lynch, Jim Fedro (Cathy) and Cathy Ligouri (Louis). She is also survived by 18 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other extended family.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Hamilton's Funeral Home (605 Lyon St, Des Moines, IA 50309). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Tuesday, October 7th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Iowa Veterans Cemetery (34024 Veterans Memorial Dr, Adel, IA 50003).
