We bid farewell to Karen Christensen of Des Moines, Iowa, born in Perry, Iowa, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on August 29, 2024 at the age of 86. Karen touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold Davisson and Mary Davisson (Siglin); her sons-in-law, Paul Birocci and Garry Miklus; and her siblings-in-law, Mike Heatherton, Delores Davisson and Janet Davisson.
She is survived by: her husband Harlan; her daughters, Linda Birocci of Des Moines, Lori Huyser (Scott) of Hatton, MO and LuAnn Miklus of Indianola; her siblings, H. Lynn Davisson of Des Moines, Jerry Davisson of Waukee, Sally Taylor of Waukee, Susan Moore (Floyd) of Ankeny and Kathy Heatherton of Johnston; her siblings-in-law, Jeanette Black (George) of Quincy, IL and Don Christensen (Linda); and her grandchildren, Lisa Banse (Andy), Kristin Davison (Collin), Matthew Huyser (Jessica), Tara McDade (Chad), Willie, Tim, Sean Miklus and Erin Colby (Dallan). She is also survived by great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Union Park United Methodist Church.
