It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Kenneth Riggs (Des Moines, Iowa), who passed away on July 20, 2025, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth Riggs and Ruth Waltz (Snyder); his daughter Sherrie Riggs; and his siblings, Vickie Waltz and Rick Riggs.
He is survived by: his wife Susan Riggs; his children, Kenneth Riggs (Sheila), John Riggs, Toresa Riggs, Mike Storm (Bassford), Sarah Bassford, Elizabeth Long (Chris) and Noah Bassford; and his sisters, Sandra Jordan, Debbie Helm, Diann Mead, Dixie Foltz and Michelle Gould. He is also survived by 20 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, other extended family and many friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 25th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Hamilton's Funeral Home (605 Lyon St, Des Moines, IA 50309). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Alathea Baptist Church (10450 County Line Rd, Des Moines, IA 50320).
