As Laura departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Laura may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Laura leaves behind.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold Ostrander and Helen Ostrander; and her sister Leone. She is survived by: her sister Gloria Cole of Cedar Springs, MI; her husband Larry McCrory of Altoona, IA; and her children, Ron Carlson (Deb) of Bondurant, IA, Brad Carlson of Clear Lake, CA, Jackie Van Wyk (Dave) of Piedmont, SC and Lori Card (John) of Ankeny, IA. She is also survived by nine grandchildren; and ten (soon to be eleven) great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Memorial Services of Iowa (4208 N Ankeny Blvd, Ankeny, IA 50023). A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
