It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of LaVonne Nelson (Des Moines, Iowa), born in Maryville, Missouri, who passed away on November 4, 2022, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Everett King and Lenore King (Zollman); and her niece Sandy Sollars. She is survived by: her daughter Jennifer Nelson; her son-in-law Patrick Luber; her sisters, Linda Heiden of Punta Gorda, FL and Lynette; her brother-in-law Stanley Amrine of Dallas Center, IA; her former spouse Royce Nelson; and her nieces, Sherry Jacobs (John), Rachel Amrine and Robin Ludington. She is also survived by numerous extended family and dear friends.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to either the Blockton Community Betterment Association with checks made payable to Blockton Betterment and mailed to Marci Friedman, 406 Oak Street, Blockton, IA 50836 or to the John Stoddard Cancer Center, 1221 Pleasant Street, Des Moines, IA 50309.
