He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Hatfield and Kathleen Hatfield (Woosman); his grandsons, Austin Gainuss and Sean Zimmerman; and his brothers, Alan and Donald Hatfield.

He is survived by: his wife Guyneth; his children, Bill Vanderpool Jr. (Toni), Billie Onstank (Terry) and Tara Holder (Aaron); his grandchildren, Bryant Vanderpool (Joy), Nick Vanderpool (McKayla), Brenden Vanderpool (Mya), Breanna Stallings (Mason), Nathan Vanderpool, Will Vanderpool, Kayla Meyer (Justin), Sabrena Onstank, Sheilene Zimmerman, Madison Gainuss, Alexis Holder, Ashlynn Holder and Cassie Gainuss; his great grandchildren, Charolette, Whitney, Aspen, Natalie, Aria, Hale, Kara, Evie, Masen, Isabella, Adeline and Raelynn; his siblings, David Hatfield (Roxanne) and Mary Hall (Jim); and his sister-in-law Fran Hatfield. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
