It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Leonard John Kuiper (Des Moines, Iowa), born in Beacon, Iowa, who passed away on December 10, 2022, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Kuiper and Hattie Kuiper (Langstraat); his sister Tena; his brother-in-law Robert Frederick; and his son-in-law Derek Cozad.
He is survived by: his wife LaVina Kuiper (Peterson); his children, Sheryl "Sherry" Cozad, Sheila Mohler (John) and John Kuiper (Elizabeth "Beth"); and his grandchildren, Crissy Cozad (Josh McCoy), Heidi Lynn (Charles), Danielle Dinville (Kelly), James Mohler (Diana), Tim Cozad, Drew Mohler, TeriAnna Mohler (Jour'dan Smith), Elizabeth "Libby" Mohler (Gage Mossman), Mackenzie Ketterman (Lucas) and Michele Buchanan (Brett). He is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren; three nephews.
