It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Leonard Shortell (Des Moines, Iowa), who passed away on September 18, 2022, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, James Shortell and Mary Shortell (Smith); and his children, Jeff Shortell and Sheryl Owen. He is survived by: his wife Betty Shortell (Coglizer); his children, Dan Shortell, Debbie Steele, Patti Spaur (Lee) and Angie Shortell; and his brother Jim Shortell (Wanda). He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.

Memorial contributions can be directed to Betty Shortell in loving memory of Leonard Shortell.
