Linda Marie Harkin Obituary
The memory of Linda Marie Harkin of Des Moines, Iowa, who passed away on September 17, 2025 at the age of 77, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. She was predeceased by: her parents, Glenn Berra and Deloris Berra (Suiter); her former husband Ed; and her daughter Jeanine Oliver. She is survived by: her husband Luther Oliver; her children, Troy Oliver (Kim) and Tracey Oliver; her grandchildren, Ashley Oliver, Chad Oliver (Erica), Grace Fulkerson (Michael), Lindsey Lingner (Levi), Kaley Oliver and Zachaery Pennington; her siblings, Carol DeGarmo (Dave) and Mark Berra (Diane); and her half-brother Harvey Suiter. She is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 24th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Hamilton's Southtown Funeral Home (5400 SW 9th St, Des Moines, IA 50315). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 25th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Linda's honor to Kappa Chi Chapter of Phi Tau Omega Sorority.
