She was predeceased by: her parents, Opal Swacker and Robert Swacker; her husband Howard Dale Kellis; and her siblings, Carole Spurling, Robert Jr. Swacker and Howard Swacker.
She is survived by: her children, Stephen Kellis (Susan), Ricci Herr (Kurt), Kimberly Kono (Jason), Jason Kellis and Holly Kellis. She is also survived by 23 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, October 4th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the American Legion #274 (2211 E 42nd St, Des Moines, IA 50317).
