She was predeceased by: her parents, Gerald Rice and Cora Rice; her husband Charles Thorpe; her daughter Linda Thorpe; and her siblings, Marilyn Millar (John), Norma Renquist and Robert Rice.

She is survived by: her children, Richard "Dick" Thorpe (Glenda), Dean Thorpe (Julie), Pamela Thorpe and Peggy Ruhl (John); and her sister-in-law Dorothy Rice. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren.

A memorial has been established with: P.E.O., 3700 Grand Ave., Des Moines, IA 50312.
