She was predeceased by: her parents, Rudy Lembcke and Ella Lembcke; her husband William "Bill" Durst of Danbury, IA.; and her sisters, Ingeborg "Ing" Sherer and Anna Lorenzen.
She is survived by: her children, Sondra "Soni" Hansen of Grimes, Doug Durst (Tricia) of Shawnee, KS and Sara Peet (Eric) of Des Moines; her grandchildren, Kirsten Pursifull (Andrew), Katie Rabedeaux (Brad), Devin, Jack Durst and Makena Peet (Todd Buffington); and her great grandchild Olivia Rabedeaux.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 22nd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Westown Parkway (3601 Westown Pkwy, West Des Moines, IA 50266). A burial will be held on Tuesday, July 22nd 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Liston Township Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. Mark Lutheran Church in West Des Moines, Suncrest Hospice Care or to the Alzheimer's Association of Iowa.
