We bid farewell to Margarita Márquez Muñoz (Des Moines, Iowa), whose journey of life gracefully concluded on September 17, 2025 at the age of 85. Margarita touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Luis Marquez Robles and María Muñoz Gonzalez; and her husband Jesús Amaya Montalvo. She is survived by: her children, Raquel, Socorro, Jesus, Yolanda, Virginia, Maria, Luis, Lupe and Vivian; and her siblings, Leopoldo, Luis and Natalia. She is also survived by 31 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, September 22nd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Hamilton's Funeral Home (605 Lyon St, Des Moines, IA 50309). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, September 23rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Our Lady of America's Catholic Church (1271 E 9th St, Des Moines, IA 50316).
