It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marilyn Ruth Jacobus of Des Moines, Iowa, who passed away on June 15, 2023, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Lawrence Morris and Gladys Morris (Young); her husband Dale Jacobus (Bowling Alley); her siblings-in-law, Lloyd Hornback (Bud) and Virginia Morris; and her son-in-law Richard Dickhoff.
She is survived by: her siblings, Jean Hornback and Raymond Morris; her children, Larry Jacobus (Sonja), Todd Jacobus (Heather), Lisa Jacobus and Tina Cochran (Clint); her grandchildren, Reilly Jacobus (Caitlin), Dalton Jacobus (Nicole), Nile Jacobus (Hannah), Cameron Jacobus (Candace), Olivia Hilton (Jake), Alyssa Phillips (Bradley), Zachary Dickhoff, Dakota and Blake Cochran; her great grandchildren, Hazel, Henry, Anderson, Charlie, Evelyn, Jimmy Jacobus, Owen and Memphis Phillips; her sister-in-law Elizabeth Creighton (Betty); and her pet Angel. She is also survived by her nieces, nephews.
Memorial contributions may be made in Marilyn's memory to Grandview Lutheran Church or Taylor Hospice House.
