He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Lee Sykes and Verona Eloise McElroy (Weezie); and his pet Trick. He is survived by: his wife Mary; and his children, Markie Murray (Brandon), Brittani Strong, Andrea Sykes, Ayeshah Young (Brandon), Marsetta Sykes, Selena Sykes, John Elliott (Camilla), Nellie Elliott, Chris Carmona and Michele Robinson (Richard).
