It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Mark Arentsen (Des Moines, Iowa), born in Portsmouth, Virginia, who passed away on December 12, 2022, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. He is survived by: his wife Maribeth Nowlin; his children, Elizabeth (Jeffrey) and Nathan; his granddaughters, River and Amina; his siblings, Chris Kranz and Kurt Arentsen (Kaaren); his niece Kimberly (Brett); his nephew Richard Kranz (Stacy); his stepmother Dorothy Arentsen; and his stepsiblings, Robin Kanitz, Roger Kanitz (Connie), Daniel Kanitz (Lori) and Allan Kanitz (Veda).

Memorial contributions can be made to the Capitol Hill Lutheran Church Building Renovation Fund in memory of Mark Arentsen.
