The passing of Mark D. McCaune of Des Moines, Iowa leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on June 30, 2025 at the age of 69. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his daughter Julie Uitermarkt; and his stepfather Ed McQuarry. He is survived by: his wife Nancy McCaune; his mother Evelyn McCaune; his children, Vickie Welch (Gary), Tonya Sears (Mike), Meech McCaune (Denise) and Marquita Amos; his grandchildren, Anna (Tim), Joey (Lexi), Mac, Laine, Kira, Roquim, Mark Jr. and Myriel; his great grandchild Coralee; his brothers, Earl Jones, Bob McCaune (Cass) and Rich Rumley; his siblings-in-law, Marilyn Wallace and Andy TerLouw (Susan); and his pet Buddy. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and countless loving friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Hamilton's Funeral Home (605 Lyon St, Des Moines, IA 50309). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family invites you to honor Mark by spending time with your loved ones, cheering on the Hawkeyes, or working on something with your hands – just as he would have. Donations may be made to the family for a future designation.
