It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Mary Kay Jensen of Des Moines, Iowa, born in Ottumwa, Iowa, who passed away on October 28, 2025, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Norton Farrington and Mary Farrington (Burke); her brothers, Jon, David and Michael Farrington; and her sisters-in-law, Sandy Farrington, Arleen Farrington and Joan Jensen.
She is survived by: her children, JoAnn DeHaan (Mark) of Des Moines, Charles Jensen (Lynette) of Eldon, IA and Michael Jensen (Katie) of Dallas Center; her grandchildren, Katelyn Rex (Jason), Ashley Morelli (Anthony), Zackary Jensen, Ryan Jensen (Macy), Joshua Jensen (Hillary), Kassandra Jensen (Jordan), Kirk Jensen (Kelly), Peavey and Ashly Peavey; her brother-in-law Merle Jensen; her sister Sue Hagedorn (Denny); and her sisters-in-law, Judy Farrington and Elaine Farrington. She is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren.
A burial was held on Sunday, November 2nd 2025 at the Rising Sun Cemetery. A Mass was held on Saturday, November 8th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Joseph's Catholic Church (3300 Easton Blvd, Des Moines, IA 50317).
