It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Matthew Thoma (Des Moines, Iowa), born in Newton, Iowa, who passed away on July 30, 2024, at the age of 30, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his grandparents, John "Jack" Thoma, Bernard Grady and Mary Vasa (Dan); his uncles, Scott Thoma and Michael Grady; his aunt Jan; and his grandmother Jo.

He is survived by: his parents, Douglas Thoma and Patricia Thoma (Grady); his significant other Damitri Taylor; and his grandmothers, Jean Thoma and Bea Grady. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles and cousins; other loving relatives and many special friends.
