He was predeceased by: his parents, Ysidro Murillo and Antonia Murillo; his daughter Angela; and his siblings, Jesse, Tito, Manuel, Abel Murillo, Abbie Chia, Jane Bejarno and Mary Negrete.

He is survived by: his wife Mary Murillo; and his children, Victor Murillo (Mary), Tony Murillo (Leah), Felicia Murillo and Alicia Rooney (Mark). He is also survived by nine grandchildren; two step grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and two step-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 15th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church (1627 Grand Ave, West Des Moines, IA 50265). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, October 15th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
