She was predeceased by: her parents, Leo Classen and Patricia Classen (McGarvey); her stepfather Melvin Dunbar; her son-in-law Eric Albrecht; her nephew Nicky Classen; and her stepbrother Arthur Dunbar (Puggie).

She is survived by: her husband Ernest "Ernie" Patterson; her daughters, Lori Malek (Jamie), Vicki Albrecht and Juli Zimmerman; her stepson Dan Patterson (Cindy); her siblings, Sharon Classen and Jim Classen (Diann); her stepsiblings, Bob Dunbar (Ailena), Jeanne Cunningham (Rich), Jane Ihnen, Judy Cunningham (Roger) and Don Dunbar; and her sister-in-law Nancy Dunbar. She is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
