She was predeceased by: her parents, Pearl Hammond and Larry Hammond; her husbands, L. W. "Chub" Yates and Russ Gray; her close friend Jim Jones; and her sons, Mike, Steve and Marty.

She is survived by: her sons, Doug Yates (Sue) and Bill Yates (Lucy). She is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, 8 great great grandchildren and 2 nephews.

Memorial Contributions may be made to Animal Rescue League of Iowa.
